Students end the day with free choice that consists of play, games, and stories.Īll children must be picked up and rejoin their families for family time and prepare for another great day at school. Outdoor play takes place at the playground, weather permitting.ĥ:00 PM – 5:30 PM – Self-initiated Free Play The five and six year old children and children under five reconvene for more Montessori lessons, art, music, and stories. Five and six year old children engage in Montessori lessons and activities in their classroom.ģ:00 PM – 4:00 PM –Montessori Work Period Resting and napping children get up as they awaken and engage in Montessori and other activities in their classroom. Montessori activity time continues for five and six year olds while children under the age of five rest or nap. Lunch is served and eaten and children are given the opportunity to socialize quietly.ġ:00 PM – 3:00 PM – Nap Time and 5 & 6 Year Old Class Both indoor and outdoor play is a mixture of structured and free play activities that help children engage in physical fitness that builds strength, burns energy, and promotes balance and gross motor skills. Snack is served throughout the morning.Ĭhildren engage in outdoor play, weather permitting, or have indoor play. The morning Montessori activity time includes both group and independent activities and includes Montessori lessons, art, music, and stories. Students ease into the day with free choice that consists of play, games, stories, art and a breakfast snack is available.Ĩ:10 AM – 11:10 AM – Montessori Work Period 7:00 AM – 8:10 AM – Self-initiated Free Play
