Thanks for the responses, but they are completely off the mark. I want there to be one key that intelligently reassigns itself to whatever note I hit most recently. That way, I don't have to map two separate keys for each drum/cymbal just to do fast notes. Updated for version 7. Whether you are trying to quantize an audio file or MIDI data, there are settings that you must adjust based on the timing of the track (¼ notes, notes, etc.) as well as other parameters. So if I hit the "ride" key, I want my "repeat key" to function as a duplicate "ride" key (until I hit another note, at which point, the "repeat" key maps itself to that note which was most recently played). The REAPER User Guide by Geoffrey Francis - the essential guide to recording, editing and mixing with REAPER. If the REAPER quantize features aren’t working, you probably need to change some settings. I want there to be a key that acts as an alternate hit for whatever drum I just hit. Let's say I'm MIDI finger-drumming and I want to do a ride cymbal roll. I want to be able to play fast, repeated notes manually using two hands (two keys that trigger the same note, depending on which note I hit last). I don't want to press and hold a key and have it repeat. If I put a Reaper sequencer instead of Liquid Rhythm, or just add midi notes in to the piano roll and have Kontakt on the third track again, it gets triggered. I want it to detect whatever note I played last (within a playable range for the instrument) and act as that key. Using this strategy will allow the player to damage or defeat the enemy stalkers/roaches/marauders without losing. "the repeat key simply plays whichever note you played last, making it more ergonomic to play repeated notes without gaps." By using a custom colormap, you can make your MIDI notes look more visually appealing and easier to read. Colormaps are a way to assign different colors to different note pitches or velocities. See my previous post about Orange Tree Samples (for instance): 7 months ago Interface MIDI In this video I go over how to customize the look of your MIDI notes in REAPER by loading a MIDI colormap file. I want this because I can't play fluid sixteenth notes on just one key. Thanks for replying, folks, but you all seem to be misunderstanding the question. Liquid Notes by Re-Compose is an amazing chord progression generator vst that can help chords, chord progressions, and scales. I tried to link Reaper to Magic the same way I do it between Reaper and Liquid Notes: In Reaper: Track 01: internal midi 1 (16 available) / all channels (16. If I remember right there are several jsfx plugins that can do this. look for midi tools or midi mapper then map the C1 to E1.
